Wishful Thinking

From The Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume III, 1908, article Buddhism:

Buddhism is all but dead. In its huge organism the faint pulsations of life are still discernible, but its power of activity is gone. The spread of European civilization over the East will inevitably bring about its extinction.

Today, a sharp 100 years after the above bullshit was written, more and more Europeans are embracing the Dharma, whereas Christianity has made little progress (if any) in the East.
